Valley Transit District (VTD) provides rides in Southern Naugatuck Valley, including the cities of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton.

For rides originating and culminating in Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton, a rider must contact VTD.

For rides originating from any of the towns listed above and going to Hamden, New Haven, Orange, West Haven and Woodbridge, a rider must contact VTD to book the first leg of the trip. VTD will provide direct rides to Hamden, New Haven, Orange, West Haven and Woodbridge from the above towns. Riders must contact GNHTD to book a return ride. GNHTD will provide the return trip even if outside their service area. Rides that occur when VTD is closed are handle by GNHTD.

If a rider is traveling to another location outside of Hamden, New Haven, Orange, West Haven and Woodbridge, then a transfer ride is required.

Greater New Haven Transit District (GNHTD) provides rides originating from Branford, East Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Orange, Wallingford, West Haven and Woodbridge.

For rides originating and culminating in Branford, East Haven, Guilford, Hamden, Madison, New Haven, North Branford, North Haven, Orange, Wallingford, West Haven and Woodbridge, a rider must contact GNHTD.

For rides originating from Hamden, New Haven, Orange, West Haven and Woodbridge and going to Ansonia, Derby, Seymour or Shelton, a rider must contact GNHTD to book the first leg of the trip. Riders must contact Valley Transit District (VTD) to book a return ride to Hamden or New Haven. VTD will provide the return trip even if outside their service area. Rides that occur when VTD is closed are handle by GNHTD.

If a rider is traveling to another location outside of Hamden, New Haven, Orange, West Haven and Woodbridge, then a transfer ride is required.

North East Transportation (NET) provides rides in the Greater Waterbury Area for these towns: Waterbury, Watertown, Naugatuck, Prospect, Wolcott, Middlebury, and Cheshire.

For rides originating and culminating in Greater Waterbury Area for these towns: Waterbury, Watertown, Naugatuck, Prospect, Wolcott, Middlebury, and Cheshire, a rider must call NET.

For rides originating from any of the towns listed above and going to Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton, a rider must contact NET to book the first leg of the trip. VTD will provide the return rides. Rides that occur when VTD is closed are handle by NET.

If a rider is traveling to another location outside of Ansonia, Derby, Seymour and Shelton, then a transfer ride is required.

North East Transportation (NET) provides rides in the Greater Waterbury Area for these towns: Waterbury, Watertown, Naugatuck, Prospect, Wolcott, Middlebury, and Cheshire.

For rides originating and culminating in Waterbury, Watertown, Naugatuck, Prospect, Wolcott, Middlebury, and Cheshire, a rider must contact NET.

For rides originating from any of the towns listed above and going to Hamden, New Haven, North Haven and West Haven, a rider must contact NET to book the first leg of the trip. NET will provide direct rides to Hamden, New Haven and West Haven. Riders must contact GNHTD to book a return ride. GNHTD will provide the return trip even if outside their service area for Waterbury and Cheshire locations. Trips to other NET towns will require a transfer.

If a rider is traveling to another location outside of Hamden or New Haven, then a transfer ride is required.

If a rider is traveling to location outside of GNHTD’s Meriden service area, then a transfer ride is required. NET will provide the Waterbury to Meriden rides.

For rides originating in Milford going to Orange, West Haven, Hamden and New Haven, a rider must contact MTD to book the first leg of the trip. MTD will provide direct rides to Orange, West Haven, Hamden and New Haven. GNHTD will provide the return ride even if outside their service area. Rides that occur when MTD is closed are handle by GNHTD.

If a rider is traveling into GNHTD service area to any city outside Orange, West Haven, Hamden and New Haven, then a transfer ride is required.

The transfer location for MTD/VTD is: Since direct trips are provided between districts, no transfer point is needed.

For rides originating in the service area of either transit district, the GNHTD and GHTD transfer location is Mid-State Health Center in Meriden.
